Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen has predicted that Chelsea will defeat Newcastle United in Sunday’s Premier League fixture.
Speaking in an interview with BetVictor, Owen said: “United were left ruing Kenedy’s late penalty miss at Cardiff on Saturday.
“Although a point gained with ten men following a goalless draw in south Wales was a decent enough return.
“Chelsea have picked up six goals and six points from their two games to date and I just feel the west London outfit’s superior class will prevail.
“Although Spurs had luck on their side when they picked up maximum points at St James’s Park on the opening weekend of the campaign.”
Chelsea head to the game following a 3-2 victory against Arsenal last weekend, while Newcastle played a goalless draw against Cardiff City.
The match will be played at the St James’ Park Stadium and the kick off time is 4pm.
